Thought I was gonna get through Round 2 of Encanto without crying and then as SOON as they played the first chords of “Dos Oruguitas” I was a GONER.

Definitely one of Disney’s best in years. So many instantly lovable characters, such a compelling central mystery, and the songs largely SLAP (with “Surface Pressure” and “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” serving as the standouts).

God, this is just so good. SO GOOD! The kind of “they don’t make ‘em like they used to” movie that I’m thrilled to see the studios still financing (especially since these films seem to be on their last leg 🥲).

If you can make me - the most sports agnostic human being alive - care THIS much about tennis, you’ve got a home run on your hands (yes I’m mixing my sports metaphors, no I don’t care x).

The definition of a “guilty pleasure” for me. Look, I don’t think I could ever defend the film’s quality - it takes WAY too long to get going, scenes drag on forever, the pacing is inconsistent, some of the effects are dodgy, etc etc etc. - but I… still didn’t fully hate it?

First of all, I kinda LOVED this cast (with the exception of Tom Hopper as Wesker, who is just not the right fit for the role whatsoever…
