Lol y’all Barbarian is absolutely fucking BONKERS. Probably the most unpredictable movie I've seen since Titane? Horrifying and hysterical in equal measure, with shocking (and stomach-churning) twists throughout. See it unspoiled as soon as you can - and with a HUGE crowd.
That’s all you’re gonna hear from me until September 🤐
Bodies Bodies Bodies is SO FUCKING FUN. A brutal blast from start-to-finish with a razor sharp script that is equal parts horrifying and hilarious, featuring probably the only accurate depiction of Gen Z in entertainment today. Lee Pace is a perfect himbo. Rachel Sennott, a RIOT.
Film Twitter, this one was made for you.
Will awards voters’ love for Belfast be “everlasting”? Or can a critical darling like The Power of the Dog or late-breaking blockbuster such as West Side Story take its place at the top of the pack in Best Picture?

House of Gucci is undeniably overlong, but after a slow start, it becomes a real blast, and, at the very least, it’s never boring. Lady Gaga is good throughout, but strongest in the second half, when she embraces Patrizia’s edge. Adam Driver, Al Pacino, and yes, even Jared Leto, all excel as well. A diverting deep dive into the dark side of wealth, power, and privilege, elevated by an engaging ensemble cast.
More to come on 11/22.
The Suicide Squad is the most fun I’ve had at the movies all summer. A delightfully demented & gloriously gory superhero spectacle that only James Gunn could come up with. Astounding action, terrific twists, & an excellent ensemble with no weak links whatsoever. The DCEU did it.
And the best part? James Gunn continues to do his female characters justice. Much like how Gamora/Nebula are such standout stars in Guardians of the Galaxy, Margot Robbie’s Harley (who gets the best action sequence)…
The Green Knight is an overwhelming cinematic odyssey of the highest order, the likes of which we’ve rarely - if ever - seen in film. Aesthetically, emotionally, and thematically, Lowery fires on all cylinders, engrossing audiences in this epic with pensive pacing and vibrant visuals. To say I was stunned is an understatement.
