Zelary tells its story as simple as the lifestyle of its protagonists. There Fassbinder tones every now and then, offering a wide span of emotions and experiences.

Blue Velvet is a beautiful treatment of ugly material. Surprisingly, the film fascinates a lot of people. It's the kind of "art" that's disturbing with weak writing, a failed attempt at "cinematography", an extremely annoying performance by Laura Dern who whispers through the whole film and Frank's disturbing story-line that can only be written by an equally disturbed person.
