Twisted and haunting, this movie packs a psychological punch. A creepy and disturbing decent into madness caused by a haunted canal and a man's mental breakdown form the death of his adulteress wife. The sound design was special and provided an eerie layer to the already freaky AF story. This one jumped out of left field and surprised the heck out of me. Very well developed story that comes at you in waves. It has some disturbing visuals mixed with a very convincing performance by Rupert Evans. It leaves a very dark and cold impression on the viewer. The finale reveal was predictable but it still worked very well. This is one of those hidden gems you don't really hear much about but it def deserves more credit. It is a very well made horror film and it did what you want a horror film to do...leave you frightened and a little on edge.
