This movie rips! Added a whole star after this watch because it deserves it. RZ swung for the fences with this one and most of it works really well. The definition of brutality is on full display. Michael is a beast...massive, unrelenting, deranged, and on the hunt. He stops at nothing and being led on by this paranormal presence of his mother just adds a whole new layer. There is so much emotion that pours out of this mixed with the lore and history from the first it plays out so well. The trauma and devastation are major issues with these characters and you can really feel it in the performances. Zombie's troop of actors he uses regularly are so damn good and always bring their best. Even Richard Brake hits it out of the park in his tiny appearance. I adore me some Richard Brake! The whole cast is just amazing...Scout probably has her best role in this and Tyler Mane is a menacing Michael. The music slaps, the violence and blood is on point, the continuation of the story in this way you would never expect plays out perfectly and keeps it very original. I love watching these two back to back every Halloween season, it makes it what it is all about this time of year for me!
