A compelling psychological thriller that takes us on a journey through the troubled mind of a grieving mother. Another one were the lead totally loses it and goes batshit crazy. The movie explores the collision of reality and illusion, and the boundaries between nightmare and reality. A gripping story about a character tormented by grief and trauma. There were a lot of unexplained and uncomfortable moments. A couple of things stood out to me, the score was expertly crafted and the sound composition was beautiful. Another was Tammy Blanchard's performance as the drunken neighbor. She was gold! The set design, lighting, and cinematography also give the film a unique feel and experience. It was just way too long and drawn out. It has some pacing issues and I had to go back and rewatch some scenes a couple times to try to figure some stuff out which made it seem even longer than it was. The movie dives deep into a multi-layered nightmare that keeps viewers guessing and not exactly sure what is happening or where the story is leading. It does get a little difficult to follow at times. Although the film’s conclusion ties up loose ends, there are lingering questions and angles of the story that keep the film on your mind even after it has ended. This is def a refreshing take on a psychological thriller that is worth the watch.
