Certified banger. One of the best casting jobs for a main cast ever probably. They’re all just the cartoon character come to life, it’s such a joy. And it’s pretty fucking hilarious, James Gunn as the screenwriter was just about perfect as well. The 2002 animations are pretty rough though and the story is literal nonsense, but overall this was still a blast.

Special shoutout to the Sugar Ray cameo and the heavy Kenergy that Freddy was bringing

Obviously not as good as the Wick films, but holds its own as an entry into this universe. I’m sure the Stahelski reshoots added a lot to that being the case as the action sequences feel adequately Wick-esque.

The character’s motivation is nothing interesting or new but Ana de Armas does a lot of heavy lifting to making us care about her survival. But also why is this cult so feared by everyone when she just walked into…

Hell of a movie. Beautiful score. The rough quality adds a layer of grittiness and brutality to the zombies. The quick POV shots from the infected are so sick. Plus always a sucker for a monster movie where the real monsters end up being some douchebags that get eaten.
