A movie co-starring Adele Haenel and Irene Jacob brought me here. But it had a really good storytelling as well. Discovered a hidden gem...

This is my first Hou Hsiao-hsien movie and liked it quite well. Only thing felt was that it was not evenly paced. The point where Wan gets drafted to army came too late and considering the film was primarily focusing on Wan and Huen's relationship the slow dilution of bonding of a long distance relationship could have been picturised better if this point was at a relatively early stage.
