art director/dad just doin' what it takes

This concept of musicians making cinematic experiences for their music should be more mainstream.
The production, process, and genre of Odesza's music lends itself very well to a cinematic viewing. It was a very fun experience and really made up for the fact that they weren't touring in my city.
I felt slightly manipulated throughout the film. Like, why am I kind of hoping this married woman leaves her husband? Celine Song focuses on this idealic reconnection of two people who have a past relationship but seems to avoid expoundung on and making us care about the existing long-term marriage. That's not a fault of the film. Just a choice. It's probably even the whole point.
And such a beautifully shot film.
Anyways. I'm glad I was my wife's most serious relationship. I got her locked down.
