Hemingway

Hemingway is who I envision as the American author. Bold, raw, controversial, groundbreaking. Every young man should performatively read The Old Man and the Sea or For Whom the Bell Tolls in public at least once.

Gwen and the Book of Sand

1985

★★★★ Watched

A vague plot, an unexplained post-apocalyptic world, poetic narration, surreal and beautiful painterly animation. A magical treat.

$1.99 dvd, worth every penny.

Cinema that touches the soul. Currently my imagination is soaring through the clouds high above the mucky muck. Fully absorbed into this rollicking ape comedy I’ve stepped outside my own consciousness and have taken one step closer to experiencing enlightenment.

Nothing original to say, it’s really fun.

That Juul rip was sick.

Jamie Lee Curtis basically plays herself (cool).

Ana de Armas wasn’t a hologram (and fully clothed 😥😪).

Daniel Craig’s accent was great but Tom Hanks version of Kernel Sanders was embarrassing.

I wished this became a giallo movie (and damn did it come close + a couple certain shots later on), it didn’t.

Donut monologue.

I agree the final shot is superb.

Now that I said a bunch…
