Quark Henares’s review published on Letterboxd:
I've seen three Dario Argento films so far and they're in this weird space between genre-defying, arthouse, and so-bad-it's-good. The plots rarely make sense, the acting is so uneven (probably because everyone's speaking in their native tongues and dubbing later), it always looks like 70s porn (which is great, don't get me wrong) and he has this unquenchable need to have at least one person die a horribly violent bloody death... even if the plot doesn't call for it!
This all set to music that's undeniably inspiration for bands like Air and Daft Punk. I'm not one to drop Gen Z terminology often (it's giving skibidi), but guys -- Dario Argento is a vibe.
