A fantastic display of impressive special effects this Taiwanese fantasy movie, with an impressive cast featuring Chiang Sheng, Chang Yi, Hsia Ling-Ling and staring Meng Fei, delivers on everything you would want a in a kung fu fantasy epic.

The main villain played by Chang Yi makes multiple copies of himself that can only be destroyed by, you guessed it, atari lasers flying all around the set. The movie also features some very impressive wirework with characters flying through the…

This was a favorite of mine in high school and revisiting it years later it really holds up. Incredible special effects in this comic-book-like original concept from the legendary Screaming Mad George. Brian Yuzna who created Society with Screaming Mad George produced this film and the two work so well together even though this project differs greatly from Society it still has the legendary body horror effects you'd expect. This is a sort of American Tokusatsu well before Power Rangers came about. Well worth a watch!

His godson Liu Chia-hui directed the film and used various motifs present in his godfather's films. There are very similar training sequences to those from 36th Chambers of Shaolin with Liu Chia-hui displaying impressive skills. Adam Cheng also shows off his impressive skills as the Wu Dang student. The humour and witty banter from Dirty Ho is present in…
