if only all proto lifetime parent-propaganda movies were this weird. tv movies were really something else in the seventies. i feel euphoria vibes. it’s giving the stepford wives, the graduate energy, but also public television after school special. a ā€œvery special episodeā€. given its uncomfortable, sinister (not derogatory) tone, i’m glad it hasn’t been lost to time and people can still watch it. i can’t imagine the odds it must have overcome to even make it to streaming.
