On Swift Horses

It is a well-crafted period drama with striking cinematography and strong performances across the board. It captures the 1950s setting with remarkable authenticity; and its exploration of sexuality, social norms, and personal identity is thoughtful and timely. The story is emotionally engaging and thematically rich, but the film’s runtime feels excessive and the central love story lacks the development it needs to truly resonate. Beautifully made, but somewhat undercooked where it counts most.

It’s a fun, freaky ride! Scary, gross, and really intense. It keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. The scenes are stressful, the choices are tough, and the creepy moments really stick with you. I don’t know anything about the video game, but as a film on its own, it’s a well-crafted and enjoyable horror movie.

It’s amazing, authentic, artsy, philosophical and poetic. Screenplay is the best thing about it, it’s full of deep and powerful lines. It also tackles heavy topics like fragile masculinity, sexuality, homophobia and many others social issues. Lead performances are so real and superb. It’s one of the best Lebanese movies I’ve ever seen but it’s not every one’s cup of tea. I highly recommend it if you’re into art-house films.

It’s light, enjoyable and emotional. It has some cheesy moments but the story is interesting, tackles deep topics and delivers beautiful messages. It’s not a masterpiece but definitely is a highly entertaining sweet movie.
