The fact that the director was willing to publish this after (presumably) seeing how awfully he appears suggests either total ignorance, naivete and arrogance (possibly even more endemic of his type back then) or at least something of an understanding of the deafening, totally pertinent and ultimately undeniable responses which his questions elicited from Baldwin.
