My girls loved the original film just as much as I do. They love Stitch period. Can’t blame em hell me too. I was hoping this would be the new king of the Disney remakes but it falls a lil short for me. Still upper echelons in that group. Just wished they’d stuck to the original formula for the most part. Stitch himself was excellent. Lilo was really good as well. On par with the animated version to me. I will watch this one again so it’s got that going for it, just not better than the original…and where is Captain Gantu!?

American V8 roaring down a French road sound like some Larry June raps but it damn sure sounds amazing to me. I following this race in real time and it was just so cool. As a casual fan of NASCAR, just showcasing how powerful those cars are to an international audience and hearing that engine waking up the whole stadium at 2am every 4 minutes is chef’s kiss. From a film perspective, it does what it’s supposed to do.…

Take the comedic style of something like Black Dynamite, slap some Sci-Fi elements from Jurassic Park, add the script from Get Out, and sprinkle dirty south culture on top and what do you get? Some damn near perfect cinema. The southern tone and gritty feel is home for me so when I saw the original this one was right there up as one of my must see films.
