Alright, yeah, it's a full 5 on a rewatch. Don't get me wrong, it's not flawless -- there are a couple of writing and editing choices I don't love, like showing a flashback to Smoke at the grave (which we only saw an hour ago!) during his exchange with Annie about killing her, and replaying Annie's dialogue about vampires in the mid-credits scene, which both feel like they hold the audience's hand a bit too much to the point of being patronising -- but that's an incredibly minor quibble, and much less noticeable or irritating the second time. Equally, the runtime feels actively short on a rewatch, and some of the pacing issues no longer concern me. This is near-perfect.
