GREAT FREEDOM is a post-war set prison drama starring Franz Rogowski (playing Hans Hoffman) who was moved directly from a concentration camp to prison as there were German laws against homosexuality. Over the next couple decades, Hans finds himself in and out of prison numerous times where he reconnects with his first cellmate each time.
