HAMPTONS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL MOVIE #2
C’Mon C’Mon is a sensitively cute movie. Coming off his first role since winning the Oscar for Joker, Phoenix’s character couldn’t have been any different but he plays the role so delicately and sweet and proves how versatile an actor he is. And my god, what a terrific performance by child actor Woody Norman who plays Phoenix’s nephew. One of the best child performances I’ve seen in a while! I was surprised that this movie had a few walkouts during its showing here at HIFF. The movie is definitely a little long, but I was engrossed the entire time. The film felt like a warm hug.
