Yesterday i watched Vivre Sa Vie and was reminded that i needed to watch this film. Anna Karina cries whilst watching it at the cinema and I cried whilst watching it this morning at home at 6am (coz jet lag). What a beautiful and tragic movie that amplifies the power of THE FACE on screen and the physicality of expression. Dreyer is potent, indulgent and dramatic as fuck. I was completely enthralled. I wish i’d watched this sooner in life.

Lyndsey Vickers is goated in my book but i guess maybe the film bombed and he never got the chance to make another (someone fact check that i didn’t do much research).
