I’d like to note that I’m giving this 1 star because it was a subpar movie not because I disagree with its message.

This movie was doomed the second they made fun of Little Richard

I’d like to formally apologize to the people who worked on this movie. I didn’t realize I was drinking decaf. So I said “this movie is so boring that not even coffee can keep me awake.” 

It was still boring, but you know.

This was like Twilight but without the really fun parts

GOD I HATE THE 80s! 

This started as a very compelling movie and turned into an unbearable soap opera. 

“Millionaires wish they had as much mayonnaise as you got” is an actual line from this movie.

The whole point of an unreliable narrator is to let the audience judge them on their own accord. This movie doesn’t give you the option to judge Tonya. You either have to feel bad for her or you’re part of this “evil thing” that ruined her life. 

 I would have probably ended up connecting with her emotionally if this script didn’t exonerate her from any guilt.

Stop fucking with genres just to satisfy your need to get deep. This is Ad Astra all over again.
