Ezra Cubero’s review published on Letterboxd:
Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is every bit as wild and scatterbrained as its title suggests and it's all the better for it. Margot Robbie is in top form here, finally able to go crazy and realize the full potential of the Harley Quinn character. Her intoxicating, hyper energy is reflected in the stylistic choices that Cathy Yan makes behind the camera which makes for one of the more creative, relentlessly entertaining comic book films in recent memory. The entire ensemble does a fantastic job striking a balance between giving the more intense sequences weight within the narrative and also having just as much wacky fun as Robbie. It's exciting to see DC not put so much importance on building a cinematic universe and just focus on making exciting, character driven movies that have a style suited for their protagonists.
