This was hysterical! Arthur and faron were a pitch perfect duo, loved the massive rat on their van and arthur's little diatribe about being a product of vietnam and the 60s. I love when a movie has a weirdly non specific time period. Bruce campbell is going ham here as well. "So, i'm a heel. What of it? 😏"
And the set design !!!!

Like On the Silver Globe, this was a unique film experience for me. Zulawski does uncontained insanity like no other.
Adjani and Neill's complete commitment to psychological extremes (e.g that fucking subway scene) was captivating to watch.
Right from the opening music sting i was hooked on a journey from anxiety inducing psychodrama to visceral body horror and the apocalyptic spookiness of the ending.
Despite the horrifying content i was surprised at how restrained it was. The real supernatural elements…
