Writing something eloquent about I Saw The TV Glow is difficult when you’re watching yourself 10 years ago on a screen.

Knowing something was wrong with me without knowing what it is and not having the strength to fuck around and find out. It was hours of YouTube searches and watching people define trans identity to me over and over as if I was studying for an exam where there was no answer key. Suffocation, no breathing! Like fuck!

My third showing of I Saw The TV Glow made me appreciate the technical elements of this film and just went deeper. Here are some things I noticed and loved:

It’s hard to form anything poignant or cohesive walking out of I Saw the TV Glow. The biggest emotion I’m feeling walking out is devastation.
