three movies in and the locations are a given; even at their worst these films have been easy to simply look at and spend time with. but the obvious truth is that nobody is watching this movie eagerly waiting for emmanuelle’s pivot into monogamy - a narrative crux that doesn’t allow for what anyone sub/consciously wants out of these movies. goodbye emmanuelle, indeed. disappointing for sure, but worth it for the serge gainsbourg songs
