Dave Vis’s review published on Letterboxd:
Just what I needed, a breath of fresh air. What a delight of a movie, with a simple flair you just don’t see a lot anymore these days. Luckily we still have the oldies.
And it’s not even THAT old. It succeeds greatly in making you feel you’re watching something way older. And that’s a good thing in this case, very good actually. It had me checking LB twice while watching if I got it right that it’s made in the 70’s. It made me feel like the first time I watched It Happened One Night, but with a smoking and hustling 9 year old instead.
Really really recommended, especially when you’re in for something light and uplifting.
