A self-indulgent piece for the self-important.

A pompous mirror to a decadently vain portrayal of the artist ego, Birdman is everything it criticises and also everything it glorifies all wrapped up in a self-aware modern classic.

I wanted to review this film but I just can't seem to form any words. I think right now, my heart is just still shattered and processing this. It's so nice to watch a new version of Lynch though, to experience him once more with brand new eyes and see more facets to his artistry.
