don’t think there’s anything i can add to the conversation around the film specifically that hasn’t already been said but it’s truly just so visceral in the disgusting evil that lay under the banality of pastoral domesticity and bureaucracy and the so called idea of “life goes on” and with that, considering the text of the film, i direct you all to not contribute to a culture of complicity, letting ours lives go on as normal, if you sat in disgust as you watched this film, if you saw the reaction jonathan glazer received at the oscars for the most mild of statements, then if you are not already, you should be advocating for a free palestine and an end to the genocide being committed while i even type this by israel.
here is a linktree to multiple fundraisers for affected palestinians during the ongoing genocide by israel that if you have the means, you should donate to, follow media outlets such as al jazeera and stay informed, attend rallies and protests, do what you can how you can and do not ignore what is happening, do not act normal amidst the sound of genocide.
