“Tonight I walk with my brothers.”

I don’t even know how to talk about this, but it feels truly so rare that we see such nuanced portrayals of brotherhood. There’s so much pain, anger, regret, and sadness shared between these boys and the oppressive pressure of their always-looming father, but in their love for each other, there’s also so much joy, and even in absolutes, there’s always some lingering hope in the river waters and long grass. You can’t live that way forever, but they stay with you, walking alongside you in the clear skies. That’s love.
