Great cast, beautiful cast. 

Sadly this adaptation loses all the pep & zest of the novel. The beats are there, and some of Nora’s snappy writing remains, but it’s all much more of a slog on screen than on the page.

The bizarre accent Amanda Bynes uses as Sebastian is the greatest voice work of our generation.

I fucking love British feel-good comedies made primarily for retirees, and I won’t apologize for it!!!
