Mostly an unpleasant watch due to reasons well-described by Sally Black in her review: overly patronizing, cynical, and disingenuous. Any spark from the Garbo and Douglas romance is underwhelmed by how caricaturized both characters' actions are. Interesting as an early prototype of what would become a staple Hollywood Cold War, and to some extent, also current, representation of the Russian people.

Very much the 5th installment of a franchise. It has a lot of the creative action from previous John Wick movies, and even if it doesn't try to develop an identity that differentiates it from them, it really carries all of the film's enthusiasm. It's hard to believe Stahelski didn't shadow-direct at least a bit of this, but if not, Wiseman is an effective mimic.…

Not only not funny, but painfully unfunny. The kind of "jokes" that even your conservative uncle would recognize as cringeworthy and galling. The closest I've been to intentionally DNFing a film, and probably the most obnoxious thing I've watched in my entire life.

As good as any talking heads' "story of an event you haven't heard of" sort of documentary can get. Inspirational displays of oppression being fought through direct subversive action, a reminder that Western universities have not, in fact, gone far enough for Gaza. I wish the filmmakers had dug a bit deeper on some thorny issues that are presented but not explored, such as deaf culture…
